Tonight is the Night/Wes vs. Darrell

The 90 minute premiere of The Ruins is tonight at 10:00 PM EST. There will be an encore presentation at 11:30 EST.

Anyways, a new daily was added today and it's crazy! So apparently Darrell and Wes don't like each other. And they start getting in each others faces, talking smack and what not. So then Kenny jumps in and starts fighting...Nick? Well, I'll let you see the rest in the video clip below.

Johanna Botta- Challenge Hottie

So the Real World/Road Rules Challenges are filled with a lot of beautiful women. You have Beth, Coral, Katie...? Anyways, one of the most mind boggling women to appear on the challenges, in my opinion is Johanna Botta. This Peruvian native appeared on The Real World: Austin in 2005 and has been appearing on the Challenge shows such as Fresh Meat, The Gauntlet III (she won), The Island, and The upcoming show The Ruins.

Johanna was also known for dating Wes who appeared on the same season of The Real World. The two were supposedly engaged at one point in time and broke up sometime after The Gauntlet III. On the Island, Johanna showed interest in cast-mate Kenny (Fresh Meat).

Now Johanna is back on The Ruins to win more money. Will she win, I don't know, but me and every other guy in the country hope she makes it far because I know who I'll be tuning in each week for.

The Rules of The Ruins

So as of now, I'm sure you all have been very sketchy on what the rules of the the new challenge is. Because I know I have. I know the teams are split up by Challengers (Never won a challenge) and Champions (Won a Challenge), but how do they compete? Well, TJ (the host) attempts to explain the rules in this video. I was going to comment on what he says and try and make it more clear for you, but I'm not too sure what he's saying either.

Daily Refresher- Will Darrell Win Again?

So today's "Daily Refresher" for The Ruins is based on Darrell Taylor. Darrell is from Road Rules: Campus Crawl which is the 11th season of Road Rules. If you don't already know, Darrell has been labeled the "Golden Boy" on these challenges. Why you might ask? Well. Darrell has appeared on 4 different challenges, and he won them all! Yes, he won with the Road Rules team on The Gauntlet, again with the Road Rules team on The Inferno, with the Good Guys on The Inferno II, and on Fresh Meat with his partner Aviv.

Now you think going on another challenge would be a risk at breaking his winning streak. But he hasn't been on a challenge since 2006 so I think we're ready to see him again. Lets hope he is able to keep that streak going. The Ruins is a team victory at the end so his chances are better than if it was individual.

Who Could Forget the Evan, Johnny, and Kenny Takeover?

Remember on the Island, when emotions ran high, food was scare, oh yeah, and the whole game was practically run by 3 stooges? These 3 stooges were Evan (Fresh Meat), Johnny (RW: Key West), and Kenny (Fresh Meat). Well, these three are back on The Ruins and most likely will do the same thing, or try to do the same thing. Well Katie, who's definitely a Challenge Veteran, isn't going to stand for that this time. Take a look at one of today's dailies:

Okay, so I know I've been lagging on the posts that I promised I would publish before the premiere, but right now I've got something good. Today, hours ago, MTV released the challenge dailies! These are the videos that they released early from the challenge. Yeah, there's no music or the videos aren't all flashy, but they're definitely worth a look. Need Some Refreshers Before Next Week?

So we are currently one week away from the premiere of Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Ruins, and some of you may need a refresher on some of the people. So starting today, up until the premiere, I will be posting some videos and information on things that I feel you all need to know before The Ruins.

Fresh Meat on Fresh Meat 2

So after my post about the rumored cast for Fresh Meat 2, which by the way has changed but I have not updated yet, I got to thinking after I saw some of the names. We all are fairly familair, or should be if we're a true Real World/Road Rules Challenge fan, with the Fresh Meat. You know who I'm talking about, Evan Starkman, Evelyn Smith, Kenny Santucci, etc. In other words, all the people we are starting to get annoyed with...right?

Anyways, the speculated cast list suggests Fresh Meaters Kenny, Ev (newly added), and Ryan will appear on Fresh Meat 2. Mind you, half of the cast will have already done a MTV show, and the other half will be new faces to TV.

So do you think that it's fair to have the new faces from Fresh Meat Season1 compete with more new people on Fresh Meat 2? Or do you think the veterans for Fresh Meat 2 should come strictly from either The Real World or Road Rules?
