The Real World: Chicago (2015)

For those that don't know, MTV is currently filming the 30th season of MTV's "Real World" and the 26th season of MTV's "The Challenge".

The Real World's upcoming season will be shot in Chicago. Here are a couple pictures of the new cast!

MTV Confirms The Real World: Back to New Orleans

According to nola.com, MTV's The Real World is returning to New Orleans for the 24th season. This is a quote from the article:

“We are delighted to be returning to New Orleans for the 24th season of ‘The Real World,’” said creator and executive producer Jon Murray in the release. “Hurricane Katrina threw New Orleans for a punch, but the city is coming back and we’re hoping our cast members and the series can play a small role in the city’s rebirth.”

Production is supposed to begin in 2 weeks.

MTV's Jersey Shore vs. The Real World

Now I know you may get mad at me for mentioning Jersey Shore, but it's getting so much publicity for it's crazy antics, that I just had to mention it. And what better way to post about it then to compare it to The Real World. Now while The Real World takes 7/8 random people and puts them in a house, Jersey Shore is a show that takes 8 "Italian Americans" and puts them in a house on the jersey shore (hence the name).

Now we all know how The Real World caused a lot of controversy back in the day with it's promotion of promiscuity, but Jersey Shore, within the first episode, has come under fire for stereotyping Italians.

My question to you is this:

Is Jersey Shore a lot worse than The Real World or are people just making it a bigger deal than it actually is?

Fresh Meat on Fresh Meat 2

So after my post about the rumored cast for Fresh Meat 2, which by the way has changed but I have not updated yet, I got to thinking after I saw some of the names. We all are fairly familair, or should be if we're a true Real World/Road Rules Challenge fan, with the Fresh Meat. You know who I'm talking about, Evan Starkman, Evelyn Smith, Kenny Santucci, etc. In other words, all the people we are starting to get annoyed with...right?

Anyways, the speculated cast list suggests Fresh Meaters Kenny, Ev (newly added), and Ryan will appear on Fresh Meat 2. Mind you, half of the cast will have already done a MTV show, and the other half will be new faces to TV.

So do you think that it's fair to have the new faces from Fresh Meat Season1 compete with more new people on Fresh Meat 2? Or do you think the veterans for Fresh Meat 2 should come strictly from either The Real World or Road Rules?
